Accommodation for the Firefly Festival

Ifm planning to visit Nagano for the Firefly Festival in June. Since Ifll also be visiting Suwa, Ifm wondering if itfs a good idea to stay in Suwa and head to Hotaru Doyo Park around 4-5 pm. Is it convenient to use public transportation to get back to my hotel in Suwa after the event at the park? I see there are buses listed on Google Maps, but Ifm not sure about their latest service times. Do you have any suggestions?

From JR kami suwa station ,you will go Tatsu no station ,420 yen, 40 minutes
