I plan to to to Matsuyama next month. Can I use Pasmo to pay the fare on the trams?

No, Icoca, Suica, etc. cannot be used on trams in Matsuyama.

As Uji pointed out, you cannot use Pasmo on transportation run by Iyotetsu, including the trams in Matsuyama. However, for those trams and other Iyotetsu transporation systems, you can use a similar card called IC Ii Card.

Or you can always use cash. Taxis there are handy too.

Weere in Matsuyama as of May 2024 and you can pay tram fares with all types of IC cards incl. Pasmo.

IKL, you're right! Thank you! And starting Spring, 2025, you'll be able to use those cards on suburban trains and short-distance buses as well!

The nationwide IC cards became available on Matsuyama trams in March 2024.

you can buy matsuyama tram 1 day pass=800 yen or 2 day pass =1100 yen
